gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Production Technician to work at their facility based near Wrexham.
Performance Objectives
1. Provide first response by troubleshooting breakdowns on equipment and jigs with the aim of improving productivity.
2. Adopt lean principles to reduce waste, improve efficiency and create a culture of continuous improvement.
3. Utilise problem-solving tools and techniques to resolve issues related to safety, quality, cost and delivery.
4. Assist with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on automation equipment in a timely manner.
5. Carry out method study and work measurement activities to support the team in implementing efficient production processes.
6. Support line layout changes to ensure a safe and methodical way of working.
Person Specification
1. Self-motivated and trustworthy, with a strong work ethic and a sense of urgency in executing and completing tasks.
2. Excellent communicator at all levels with strong interpersonal skills, able to provide regular status reports to keep the supervision and management team well informed.
3. Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to learn new skills and provide support outside core hours to support operational needs when required.
4. Well-organised with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve problems.
5. Computer literate with PC skills in Microsoft Office, with a focus on using digital platforms.
6. Able to work flexible hours when required based on operational needs.
7. Educated to GCSE level with the motivation to undertake further education in an engineering qualification.
