Your Responsibilities As an Assistant Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for the technical management of allocated vessels, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance. Your key duties will include: Overseeing vessel maintenance, repairs, and modifications to ensure safe and efficient operations. Planning and scheduling both corrective and preventive maintenance activities. Providing the crew with tools, training, and guidance to execute maintenance safely and effectively. Inspecting vessel operations and ensuring defects are reported and resolved in line with company systems. Supporting and managing dry-docking, inspections, and technical audits. Monitoring vessel performance and initiating corrective actions when necessary. Ensuring compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and environmental policies. Collaborating with suppliers, shipyards, and workshops to ensure high-quality service delivery. Managing budgets for maintenance, repairs, and modifications. What You’ll Bring to the Role We’re looking for a proactive and experienced professional with a passion for maritime excellence. To succeed in this role, you’ll need: Experience of working in a similar role. Relevant engineering or maritime qualifications. A solid understanding of engineering and technical best practices. Seagoing experience and/or prior shore-based technical management experience (highly desirable). Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop teams effectively.
