Our Role The Operations Assistant Store Manager will be supporting the Operations Manager with all operational activity within the store, providing clear leadership in order to establish a high-performance team, that will support with the day-to-day operational responsibilities. You will play a key role in ensuring that the store operations run efficiently ensuring the highest level of stock management and standards including deliveries and replenishments. You will also be responsible for supporting with operational and administrative tasks including health and safety and loss prevention. They will take full responsibility for the stockroom and manage the team to ensure exceptional levels of service at all times. Allocate the appropriate resources within the stockroom to ensure the effective completion of deliveries and other related stock tasks, whilst achieving productivity levels and maintaining TWC standards. To support the Operations/ Market Manager in the adherence to all Health and Safety, maintenance and Loss Prevention Policy and Procedure. What youll be doing Develop the stockroom to maximise and maintain the highest retail standards, whilst adhering to company policy and procedures. Maintaining both delivery and stockroom standards at all times. Minimise loss through ensuring appropriate storage and due care is taken of all merchandise Ensure that all deliveries are processed and productivity targets are adhered to consistently by the stockroom team. Ensure that appropriate controls are in place to action to action key tasks, e.g. stock takes, price changes, recalls. Raising the awareness of and controlling stock loss within their area. Ensuring effective retrieval systems are in place to support timely replenishment to the sales floor Manage all in store transfers in a timely manner Ensure daily Health and Safety procedures are adhered to Team Management To coach, motivate and develop the delivery/stockroom team to achieve personal store objectives. Effectively communicating and ensuring all stockroom staff adheres to TWC policies and procedures. Identifying the training and development needs of the team within the stockroom, seeking support from the operations manager where necessary to meet these Ensure all reviews and appraisals are conducted with the stockroom team. Demonstrating and maintaining security awareness whilst coaching others. Planning and Organising Liaising and communicating with the Store Management team, particularly with regard to sales and launches To work as part of the Store management team within the store and liaise and communicate daily to ensure they have a clear understanding of the issues affecting the stockroom and shop floor. To effectively and efficiently plan and manage key events within the stockroom. The skills & experience that youll need Supervisory experience within a retail stockroom environment is essential (minimum 12 months). Similar experience running a fast moving stockroom environment Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety Legislation. Retail or service industry experience (minimum 12 months).
