We are excited to share an opportunity for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse.
This role involves working within one of our hubs located in Redhill and providing a single crisis service for all emergency, urgent, and routine referrals in the Mid and East Surrey areas. As a Band 6, you will be working alongside both junior and senior practitioners. You will take a lead in coordinating shifts, delegating to other team members, as well as liaising with other key stakeholders. You will be required to urgently respond to requests for assessment and treatment of people experiencing a mental health crisis. You will work autonomously as well as an effective team member.
This is an integrated role in order to support the triage and/or rapid response, as well as the Home Treatment elements of the service. The post holder will be responsible for creating an environment that is safe, supportive, and easily accessible with a no wrong door approach.
Qualified nurses (NMC) are currently benefiting from a Retention Allowance. It is a 10% pay uplift on top of a 5% HCAS Fringe payment.This 10% retention allowance is subject to a minimum total payment of £3,293 and a maximum total payment of £3,613 p.a. This will be paid on a monthly basis and pro-rata'd to hours worked.

* Be accountable and responsible for own practice.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based programmes of care, set standards of care, and liaise with other agencies, particularly in relation to people discharged under the Care Programme Approach.
* Participate in the multi-disciplinary assessment of individuals with mental health problems or vulnerabilities living in the community, by providing a community mental health perspective and expertise.
As this role is based within a community setting, we do require that you must be able to travel between multiple sites and trust locations within the set hours of your working day.
