We are looking for a friendly and approachable Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Animal House Vets.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and experience in customer service and administrative tasks, and a minimum of three GCSEs grade 4/c or above. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and experience in customer service and administration.
Duties will include:
1. General reception duties such as greeting clients and their pets as they arrive at the clinic, verifying their information and booking them in onto the system.
2. Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments.
3. Updating patient records and ensuring accuracy of information.
4. Dispensing medications and processing payments while maintaining accurate financial records.
5. Maintaining cleanliness of the reception area and exam rooms.
Extra administration roles may include:
1. Banking, paying off online and BACS payments.
2. Processing/chasing debt.
3. Assisting with insurance and dealing with client enquiries/complaints.
Collaboration:
There will also be the need to work closely with the leadership team to ensure procedures/processes are adhered to in regards to promoting preventative healthcare both with other team members and with the use of reports.
Your shift pattern:
We are ideally looking for someone to work full time up to 40 hours; however, we will also consider part-time applicants. The hours include working 1 in 4 Saturdays, and this could be at any of our 4 branches, so a car driver is preferable. Being able to work as part of the team or under your own initiative is a must.
