The Role
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the Finance team, ensuring the smooth running of Accounts Payable operations. You will be responsible for managing the supplier ledger, handling invoice processing, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end financial tasks. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Finance team with Accounts Payable functions.
Maintaining and managing the supplier ledger, including setting up supplier accounts, processing payments, and reconciliations.
Checking and managing all supplier invoices.
Preparing payment lists for approval and ensuring timely processing.
Recording and filing cash transactions.
Assisting with month-end financial processes as required.
Maintaining accurate account details and reconciling supplier statements.
Working across multiple financial systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Acting as a key point of contact for supplier queries and building strong supplier relationships.

Strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate financial data effectively.
Proficiency in IT and working across multiple systems.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Positive and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Previous experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role is highly desirable.
