Business Compliance Officer
Salary – £73,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – 37.5 hours per week, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm

As a Business Compliance Officer, you will be a key member of the internal legal department, providing compliance and regulatory support to the activities of the whole group, answering to the UK Head of Legal. This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?
1. Manage and respond to data subject access requests.
2. Support the business in relation to legitimate interest/data protection impact assessments.
3. Regularly manage and update privacy notices across all businesses and all changes in processing.
4. Updating and maintaining all policies in respect of ABC, Code of Conduct and business ethics as well as developing a suite of guidance notes.
5. Finalising the Modern Slavery report and support on modern slavery assessments/responsible sourcing.
6. Supporting the creation, development, review and implementation of legal compliance policies and procedures including, but not limited to, Code of Conduct, Gifts and Hospitalities, Reporting Corporate Governance Concerns and Data Protection. Providing advice, guidance and support on legal compliance policies and procedures and giving (or withholding) associated approvals.
7. Develop suite of training slides for deployment in, amongst others, ABC, Code of Conduct, Modern Slavery and Competition including refresher updates.
8. Deliver face to face training as required by the business.
9. Undertaking internal audits of compliance processes.
10. Dealing with whistleblowing reports when appointed, producing the investigation plan, conducting the investigation and interviewing witnesses.
Experience
1. Legal training in one or more of the key areas with a strong interest in compliance and regulation.
2. Experience in providing compliance and regulatory support.
