Job overview
You will provide technical help for students in the Product Design & Technology area within the Art & Design Department at this highly successful Sixth Form College. This post requires a practical and organised person, who will work as part of a team in a large and busy department.
Ideally you will be conversant with woodworking and metalworking machine tools used within this environment and be able to maintain and sharpen small tools as necessary. You should have an aptitude and willingness to be trained as necessary in the use and care of the machinery. The equipment used in the department includes a Wood Turning Lathe, Centre Lathe, Vertical Mill, Pillar Drill, Disc and Belt Sander, Circular Saw, Thicknesser and a variety of hand tools.
