The postholder will have responsibility for a portfolio of research projects and the role offers the opportunity to use and develop knowledge and experience in relation to all aspects of supporting and managing a research grant. The postholder will take a proactive lead in this relatively autonomous role, with complicated matters being referred to the line manager where required. You will benefit from a network of staff and departments across the Institute, College and wider university. The post is full time and is offered on a hybrid (non-contractual) basis.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently, to plan and prioritise own workload, often months in advance and to re-prioritise to meet deadlines;
* A confident, pro-active approach to work, excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to form excellent working relationships with colleagues at all levels;
* A high standard of numeracy and excellent attention to detail with experience of handling confidential information;
* Good working knowledge of research grant applications and award processes;
* Ability to juggle a variety of competing priorities and timescales through effective time-management skills.
