Job Purpose The purpose of this role is to carry out preventative and reactive maintenance work (both electrical and mechanical) to maximise the reliability, efficiency and safety of the factory and machinery. All work carried out will be in line with food safety standards and Health & Safety requirements, enabling production teams to meet their KPI targets on time, cost, and quality standards. Location: Milton Keynes Hours: Night Shift: rotating 3 on 3 off shift pattern Salary: £49,750 per annum Key Duties To attend and diagnose breakdown repairs in a cost-effective timely manner, to ensure production targets are met. Planned preventative maintenance including facilities and fabrication of the site, avoiding production disruption. Communicate technical & operational issues, quickly and effectively to relevant departments Maintain documentation to provide records of breakdowns and PPMs throughout the department using CMMS system. Promote and ensure safe working practices, ensuring H&S is never compromised Identify and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives with logical approach to engineering and operational issues, adhering to legal compliance within the engineering function Help to identify spares requirements and maintain stock levels as needed Carry out work without jeopardy to food safety or legality Achieve daily service levels around external and internal customer requirements and ensuring the site is compliant to audit standards Involvement with a number of projects from machinery upgrades to building work Essential Skills, Experience And Qualifications FMCG/Food manufacturing experience. Packaging machines experience.
