Job Description:
The Senior Line Leader role is designed to oversee and guide the packing team towards achieving project and organizational goals with efficiency and coherence. This position involves a strategic blend of mentorship, project management, and operational oversight to ensure that team efforts align with broader company objectives. By fostering a collaborative environment, the Senior Line Leader ensures that each team member is engaged and contributing effectively, while also serving as a liaison between the team and line manager. This role requires a nuanced understanding of both the big-picture goals of the organization and the day-to-day challenges faced by the team, enabling the leader to make informed decisions that drive progress and improvement.
Essential Responsibilities:
Senior Team Leader Responsibilities:
1. Preparing work according to production schedule and assigning workers production line tasks.
2. Evaluating incoming orders and setting up the production line accordingly.
3. Optimizing packing line efficiency by monitoring productivity and quality.
4. Identifying and resolving production line problems in a timely manner.
5. Training and supervising new packing line workers.
6. Collaborating with other departments to ensure that orders are completed on time.
7. Maintaining a fully operational, safe, and tidy work environment without being “told”.
8. Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
9. Participating in SOP creation and review process.
10. Completing a comprehensive shift report at the end of each shift, accurately recording all downtime and informing the line manager.
11. Recognizing high and low performance and providing feedback to the line manager.
12. Supporting the line manager on continuous improvement activities.
13. Completing weekly stock checks for your department and flagging low stock levels to your line manager.
14. Having excellent knowledge of D365 and the ability to complete tasks without supervision.
15. Identifying problems which may occur and taking appropriate action to resolve the situation, updating managers or other departments as necessary.
16. Ensuring housekeeping (clean as you go) and 5S system is strictly adhered to.
17. Ensuring all team members are trained in all areas of the KR department.
18. Monitoring, controlling, and minimizing waste. Providing feedback on all issues as well as improvement suggestions.
19. Undertaking such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post, e.g., covering supervisor absence.

Qualifications & Characteristics:
* Good level and standard of UK/European education or equivalent.
* Clear and confident communication skills both written and verbal.
* Experience in leading teams preferred.
* Good PC skills, especially MS Excel.
* Strong planning and organizing skills.
* Results-oriented.
* Ability to work well under pressure and achieve deadlines.
* A flexible approach and a proactive attitude.
