About the Role: We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants with prior experience working in a classroom or with children. As a member of our supportive teaching team, you will play a key role in helping to deliver high-quality education and support to our students. The ideal candidate will be proactive, compassionate, and possess a strong understanding of child development and classroom dynamics. It is desirable that the candidate is available for long term placements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and supporting students' learning.
2. Provide one-to-one or small group support for students who require additional help.
3. Encourage and support students' social and emotional development.
4. Help prepare teaching materials and resources.
5. Supervise students during lunch and break times.
6. Support students with their individual needs, including special educational needs (SEN) if applicable.
7. Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Essential Criteria:
1. Previous experience working in a classroom or with children (in a school, childcare, or similar environment).
2. A positive and proactive attitude toward supporting children's learning.
3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
4. Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required.
5. Understanding of child safeguarding and health and safety protocols.
Desirable Criteria:
1. A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
2. Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
3. A passion for education and helping children reach their full potential.
