We design, manufacture, install, and service wind turbines across the globe, and we have installed more wind power than anyone else. NCE N/W HSE is supporting the Onshore service Organization in Uk, Republic of Ireland and Nordic region. Current installed capacity in the UK/Ire region is 3.7mw across + sites.
This is a mobile role, and you will be based in the North of Scotland covering an area from Perth to the Shetland Islands.
Responsibilities
Ensure that Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures are communicated and followed within the team working with service Projects on onshore windfarms. As an HSE Professional, you will provide support to the Service management team at a senior level, closely support site/facility supervisors during Toolbox Talks, internal and external HSE inspections and meetings. Act as a safety role model, encourage and recognize others completing safe acts, and intervene when unsafe acts are being practiced. It will be your responsibility to assist with the reporting and investigation of Hazardous observations, near misses and incidents and support the management team in handling these incident investigations and ensuring the necessary corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
Your tasks will include the following:
1. Collect, validate, report, and respond to HSE data
2. Ensure legal compliance to country legislation, provide support & advice to local management on HSE matters
3. Review and revise documents in support of the HSE Management System
4. Ensure close collaboration with our customers and other stakeholders on HSE matters
5. Ensure that Emergency Response Plans are established and maintained across the portfolio, together with ensuring that emergency drills are performed according to our management system
6. Continuously review the company Safe Systems of Work to deliver continuous improvement
7. Facilitate the safety culture at site (local initiatives)
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who either has an HSE profile and are interested in joining the onshore wind industry, or you have experience from the onshore wind industry and are interested in HSE. We except you:
8. Hold relevant education within HSE, NEBOSH or IOSH, or be willing to work towards
9. Have at least 3 years of experience from a similar HSE role and experience with HSE policies and processes
10. Have demonstrable trade experience from an electrical or mechanical discipline
11. Have good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to quickly understand new systems
12. Have knowledge of Risk Assessment practices, COSHH and the implementation of appropriate control processes
13. Have experience of working at height
14. Have a full clean driving licence

15. Good communication skills are required. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, to work freely, adapt to new and sometimes complex situations
16. Solid interpersonal, computer, presentation, and collaboration skills. Flexibility to travel to sites across the UK and Republic of Ireland is required
17. Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
18. Are enthusiastic and can work with limited supervision
19. Able to coach teams to create an improved safety culture rather than just impose safety rules
20. Good commitment to quality, good time management and reporting skills
21. Be physically fit, to be able to climb wind turbines, conduct Working practice reviews and deliver Emergency Response Safety training
