As the Group and Events Sales Manager, you will be responsible for reactive sales for all groups & events by answering incoming calls or emails from clients, leading show-rounds and events for prospective clients and supporting the sales team. Your tasks will include but will not be limited to:
* Manage the enquiry inbox aiming for a 2-hour turnaround.
* Maintain a genuine warm and friendly manner over the phone and in person to convert enquiries to booked events.
* Have a complete understanding of budget, targets, and forecasts for your department.
* Maintain accurate client records and build strong relationships.
* Complete a weekly review of Business on the Books (BOB) and maintain up-to-date event and group forecasts.
* Negotiate contracts and packages for clients ensuring we maximize revenue.
* Liaise closely with the Director of Events and Assistant Director of Events and relevant departments ahead of show rounds to ensure they are carried out smoothly.
* Supervise team members, train them, and act as the point of contact if the Director of Events/Assistant Director of Events is not present.
* Work with clients to identify their needs and update them on event progress as appropriate.
* Conduct market research, gather information, and negotiate contracts prior to closing any deals.
* Have a full understanding and knowledge of F&B and events offering to appropriately tailor events and upsell where appropriate.
* Assist with the planning of each event from start to finish according to requirements to ensure we meet and exceed guest expectations regarding any group or event booking.
* Be an ambassador for Nobu as well as someone who embodies our values and commitment to our teams.
