Job summary Trauma & Orthopaedics require a Ward Clerk to work 37.5 hours per week over 5 days. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our busy Trauma and Orthopaedic wards. This role is mainly to provide a full range of clerical and reception duties to support the professional qualified health care workers in the delivery of a quality service for all patients who attend the ward. You will act as a contact for patients, relatives and carers face to face, by email and telephone. Main duties of the job The post holder will work closely with Clinical Staff and Personal Medical Secretaries in order to provide excellent and timely administrative services to our patients. This will be a demanding but very rewarding post which requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a friendly and approachable personality. A flexible and pro-active approach to working life is essential as you may be required to cover periods of absence and annual leave. You must be educated to GCSE Level 2 (Numeracy and Literacy) standard or equivalent and have excellent key boardskills.
