An innovative UK-based manufacturing business specializing in sustainable battery production for electric vehicles is currently looking to hire a Manager – Advanced Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple aspects of the Energy and Power Cell projects. The Manager – Advanced Engineering will: Act as the primary liaison between key partners to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and alignment on best practices. Oversee the integration of technology into production lines, ensuring efficient implementation and minimal disruptions. Monitor and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and implement continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma. Lead supplier evaluation and equipment selection, managing the RFI, RFQ, and tendering processes to secure the best contracts. Develop detailed cost models and financial plans for production, including materials, labour, equipment, and operational expenses. Establish and optimize production KPIs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance production processes and stability. The Manager – Advanced Engineering will have: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory Minimum 7 years of experience (5 years with Masters degree) in engineering manufacturing, automotive or associated sectors. Familiarity with RFQ, RFI, and tendering processes for capital equipment and manufacturing solutions. Hands-on experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), statistical process control (SPC), and Six Sigma methodologies.
