Role Purpose We require a permanent full time Finance Assistant who is actively studying towards a recognised Accountancy qualification to join our Finance Team to help support the team with day-to-day transactions and month-end activities, as well as helping to support the team as we migrate onto a new system. This person will need to be able to deliver accurate and timely information, working to tight deadlines. The successful individual will join a team of six existing Finance professionals, reporting to the Finance Team Lead. Key Responsibilities Good working knowledge of Excel is essential with the ability to manipulate data. Support Accounts Payable as required. Assist the Finance Team Lead with the production of Accounts. Assist the team with all areas of banking, including payments and reconciliations. Assist with Accruals and Prepayments, collation and posting to Sage. Assistance in maintaining the Fixed Asset Register. Assist with the production of ad-hoc financial information as and when required. Adhere to the company's procedures, policies and goals. Ensure that health and safety regulations and guidelines are followed at all times. Ensure that all procedures are followed as specified in the Quality Manual. Ensure that all documentation related to your work is kept accurate and up to date in accordance with BS EN9001. Work in a conscientious and safe manner at all times, with due consideration of other personnel. Answer telephone calls and emails, when necessary, in a polite and courteous manner. Skills & Experience Essential Good working knowledge of Accounts packages and Excel with a minimum of 1 years’ experience in an Accounts Environment. Confidence in using new systems. Studying towards a recognised Accountancy qualification. Driven to achieve results accurately and on time to internal and external stakeholders. Ability to adapt to a changing work environment and priorities. Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively within and across departments to achieve the desired results.
