We can offer:
1. An acute rotation providing you with diverse experiences including Medicine (general medicine, Elderly, Respiratory and Cardiology), Orthopaedics, Surgery, Stroke, Neuro, Palliative care, hand therapy (correct at time of advertisement).
2. Excellent learning opportunities with a high level of support and supervision and appraisal from senior colleagues.
3. Peer support from a large group of colleagues on the rotation.
4. A 12 month multi-professional preceptorship programme (Band 5).
We support OTs who are looking to Return to Practice.

Main duties of the job
To provide excellent, high-quality person-centred clinical care that advocates for patients; strive to provide a service fit for today and the future; develop personal leadership to support clinical growth. Every 6 monthly Band 5 or 12 monthly Band 6 rotation brings duties and learning opportunities specific for that team.

As a Trust, we offer a multi-professional preceptorship programme. In addition, we offer excellent training opportunities supported by an AHP practice development lead and clinical flow lead.

Person Specification
Qualification
* Degree or Diploma in OT
* HCPC registration
* Evidence of post graduate CPD
Skill
* Ability to work single-handedly with individuals and groups
* Ability to manage own workload and determine priorities related to the acute, physical setting
* Able to work under pressure
* Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance
* Good understanding of how the OT role relates within the acute, physical NHS setting
* Training and facilitation skills
* Use of an electronic patient record
Experience
* Knowledge of evidence-based practice and service improvement
* Understanding of professional ethics and their application in practice
* Ability to clinically reason/plan intervention independently
* Experience of research and audit
* Advice and informal supervision to support staff and students
Special
* Willingness to rotate clinical area of work
* Must be able to travel between sites
* Car driver with licence
