My client based in Colwick NG4 is currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join their team on a temp on going basis, guaranteed work with the chance to go permanent for the right person Role Purpose: As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the production of high-quality gas cylinders while adhering to health, safety, and quality standards. The role involves working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment to meet production targets. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Operations: Operate machinery and equipment as required. Perform manual handling tasks, such as lifting, positioning, and assembling materials or components. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to complete production tasks efficiently. 2. Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards. Report any defects or non-conformity's to the supervisor immediately. Complete quality checks and maintain accurate records where required. 3. Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Maintain a clean and organised workspace to prevent hazards. Identify and report potential safety risks or hazards. 4. Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure production targets are achieved. Provide feedback to improve processes and workflows. 5. General Duties: Assist with cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas. Support other departments as required. Participate in training sessions and team meetings. Key Skills and Attributes: Strong attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a team and independently. Good communication skills. A proactive and reliable attitude. Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks. Working Conditions: Shift-based work Standing for extended periods and lifting/carrying moderate weights. Factory environment with some exposure to noise, heat, or chemicals (all necessary PPE provided).
