Now, we’re looking for a Senior Business Development Executive to drive our growth by identifying, engaging, and converting high-potential leads into long-term clients.
The Details
Location: Hybrid – Based at our Bristol HQ 2-3 days a week (Remote working may be considered for the right candidate)
Salary: £28-32k base + OTE of approx. 14% + discretionary bonuses & regular competition prizes
About the Role
As a Senior Business Development Executive, you'll play a critical role in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth. You’ll be responsible for proactively identifying and engaging key decision-makers, managing the sales cycle from initial outreach to securing meetings, and working closely with senior sales professionals to convert high-value opportunities.
This role offers the opportunity to lead key outbound initiatives, work with cutting-edge sales tools, and contribute strategically to Best.Energy’s business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Proactively identify and engage potential clients through outbound prospecting, including phone, email, and LinkedIn
2. Develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns to build relationships with key decision-makers
3. Confidently introduce energy management solutions, handle objections, and secure qualified sales meetings
4. Work closely with senior sales professionals to drive high-value deals through the pipeline
5. Maintain and optimise our CRM system to track leads, sales activity, and pipeline progress
6. Analyse market trends and competitor activity to refine outreach strategies
What We’re Looking For
1. A proven track record in B2B sales, lead generation, or business development
2. Experience in consultative sales and engaging with senior stakeholders
3. Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to overcome objections
4. Confidence in outbound sales, including cold calling and multi-channel outreach
5. Ability to think strategically and tailor approaches for different industries
6. Organised, data-driven, and able to manage multiple opportunities at once
7. Familiarity with CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Google Workspace
8. Experience in energy, tech, or sustainability sectors is a plus
