Civil Engineering Project Manager - Self-Delivery Location: (Kenilworth to Lichfield) Duration: 4-Year Project Salary: £80- £85,000 About the Role: This client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong self-delivery focus to oversee critical HS2 projects between Kenilworth and Lichfield. This role requires expertise in tier-two contracting, with hands-on experience managing roadworks, utilities, and earthworks. The successful candidate will take full ownership of project delivery, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. These projects will begin in April and will be ongoing until 2029. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage self-delivery of civil engineering works, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. Oversee the construction and coordination of roadworks, utilities, and earthworks across multiple sites. Ensure efficient programme management and resource allocation. Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements. Manage budgets, cost forecasting, and commercial reporting to ensure financial control. Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, designers, and representatives, to ensure seamless project progression. Identify and mitigate risks to maintain project efficiency and avoid delays. Lead and mentor site teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on quality and delivery. Requirements: Proven experience in a Project Manager role within a tier-two civil engineering contractor. Extensive knowledge of roadworks, utilities, and earthworks. Strong self-delivery expertise, managing site-based teams and ensuring smooth project execution. Track record of delivering infrastructure projects on time and within budget. Understanding of standards and compliance requirements. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Relevant civil engineering qualifications (HNC, HND, or degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent). SMSTS, CSCS, and a full UK driving licence.
