EQUANS is looking for a Concierge to join our team based in Motherwell, ML1 on a permanent basis. This is a part-time role working 27.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £11.44ph and benefits package. The job holder will work at the front reception desk. They will be responsible for sign posting members of staff, public and visitors to relevant services and businesses within the building. They will be responsible for recording and reporting repairs, orders and telephone enquiries, security, keeping electronic diaries, receiving deliveries and announcing the same and reporting directly to the property manager. The Business Centre Contract is a joint venture between North Lanarkshire Council and NLP LLP. Where Equans provides front of house and management of the property. There are, at present, five of these establishments which Equans manage, on behalf of these organisations. It is, therefore, important the staff members in these properties perform to the highest standards to ensure client satisfaction and continued business. As the receptionist, the job holder will deal with and report to many the client’s employees. Please note before applying: The hours are alternating with Week 1 Mon – Fri 0730-1300hrs Week 2 Mon – Fri 1230 – 1800hrs so an element of flexibility required. What will you deliver? General building maintenance duties. Escorting and maintenance staff and contractors. General janitorial duties. Opening, Closing and securing the building. Performing weekly Fire Bell Tests. Monitoring fire and access control systems. Vandalism prevention and reporting. Monitoring and reporting faults within the building via the property manager. General Health and Safety Duties. A good understanding of buildings and operations and how they relate to the users of these facilities and the importance of service delivery coupled with the ability to think logically and with initiative. A good understanding of Health & Safety is required. Punctual and conscientious. The ability to organise, file and report competently. Good communications skills, written and verbal. Provide excellent customer service. Ability to work with minimal direct supervision. Be flexible in their approach to working across the portfolio, as part of a larger team.
