Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Shifts: 12-hour rotating shift pattern

We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrically biased) to join our team. You’ll provide vital engineering support across the site while working on a bespoke 12-hour rotating shift pattern that ensures you have the flexibility you need.
With excellent opportunities for progression, banded pay grades, and annual skills assessments, you’ll earn between £48,713 - £56,056 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain safe working practices and ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are used at all times.
* Perform routine maintenance on plant machinery and associated equipment.
* Record maintenance work in CMMS systems (Pirana, ShireSystem).
* Provide clear feedback on significant issues to the shift teams.
* Monitor equipment condition and identify additional preventive maintenance needs.
* Manage spare parts inventory and ensure all remedial work is completed thoroughly.
* Lead and complete Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.
* Support the management of maintenance costs.
* Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and lead investigations when necessary.
* Occasionally assist the Engineering Lead and step in as needed.
* Adhere to the company's compliance obligations, policies, and procedures.
What You’ll Need:
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline with strong mechanical expertise.
* 18th Edition BS7671 Wiring Regulations
* Experience fault-finding and resolving both mechanical and electrical issues, including PLCs such as Siemens/Allen Bradley.
* Ability to confidently and safely modify PLC programs.
* Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and data analysis skills.
* Familiarity with CMMS systems like Pirana is a plus.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Competence in using MS Office software.
