WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
To become a Management Accounts Assistant in our Finance department, we need someone who is proactive, has attention to detail and can work independently or within a team. The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities. Although this position is centered on our Redditch campus, all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
To find a more detailed list of your day-to-day responsibilities, please refer to the key roles and accountabilities section on our Job Description. In summary, as someone who is AAT Qualified, you will support in many aspects, including:
1. Assist in the monthly Management Accounts production process, including the gathering, analysis and distribution of financial information, as well as ensuring the deadlines are met.
2. Assist in maintaining a comprehensive management information system and coding structure, including budget structures and account set maintenance.
3. Assist and support the SMAA with ensuring reports and structures always reflect the organisational structure.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE:
The appointment is subject to the Conditions of Service for Business Support Staff. All successful applicants will undergo the following checks:
* Enhanced DBS
* 2 x References, one of which must be your current or most recent employer
* Qualification validation check
SALARY:
The salary range for this post is from £25,889 to £27,928 per annum. Your starting salary will be dependent upon your qualifications and experience.
HOURS OF WORK:
The hours of work will be based on 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum. This is a temporary position covering maternity leave.
ANNUAL LEAVE:
The post carries 25 annual leave days, plus eight public bank holidays plus a further five concessionary days.
PENSION SCHEME:
The College operates an occupational pension scheme, namely the 'Local Government Pension Scheme'.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD:
All newly appointed staff have to serve a 6-month probationary period.
