Consistent success and attention to detail has resulted in a diverse portfolio with a value of over £150 million A rare opportunity has become available for a Finance Assistant to join this fast-growing, boutique company. Reporting directly to the office manager, with the support of a part time accountant, you will be joining this small, friendly team, and be responsible for credit control duties, financial reporting and ensuring the smooth running of the sales ledger. Responsibilities will include: • Accounts payable (staff expenses, payroll including commissions, invoices)• Accounts receivable • Payables and receivables matching and management in relation to tenants’ and landlords’ funds (payments/ invoices/ deposits)• Daily bank reconciliation and client deposit account reconciliation• Preparation of the annual financial statements’ preparation and monthly management accounts and reconciliations • Posting of manual journals (including accruals and prepayments)• Preparation of weekly cash flows and trade debtors / creditor listings. Coordinate with the team aged creditors and debtors’ resolution • Support office administration (insurance & certifications)• Maintain good relationships with tenants and landlords• Establishing processes to improve financial control and effectiveness. Personal specification: • Previous experience in a Finance Assistant/Assistant Accountant role• AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA • SAGE experience is a plus • Strong IT skills including excel• Can do attitude • Organised individual. This position comes a salary of £19,000 to £22,000, plus a discretionary bonus.
