Are you an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in rent accounting? We're looking for a Senior Assistant Rent Accountant to join our dynamic Rents team and play a key role in ensuring the accurate provision of accounting information and budget setting for rent across the Group. This exciting new role offers you the opportunity to lead a small team dedicated to setting accurate rents and ensuring robust rent budgeting. You’ll oversee rent budget production, manage budget variance reporting, and conduct short-term forecasting and rent reconciliations to keep our financials on target. In this role, you’ll also collaborate closely with various teams across the Group, including Operations, Investment, Lettings, Development, and Service Charges, making this a unique position with wide-ranging impact and visibility. Some of the essential things we are looking for: Substantial experience in managing rents in a regulated environment Experience of accounting in a large and complex organisation with substantial budgets Knowledge and understanding of rent legislation Experience of using, maintaining and reporting on large volumes of data Knowledge and understanding of accounting standards Experience and knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework relevant to the role Experience of working in partnership with finance and non-finance colleagues to achieve results While this role is home based, you should have the ability to occasionally travel to Group offices and other locations as required.
