The Opportunity
As the Project Manager, you will set the project execution strategies and use a cross-functional project team to deliver the project safely in line with company policy, achieving established goals and objectives within the agreed baseline.
This role has been deemed inside IR35.
Duration: 12 months
Location: Warrington
Your Duties and Responsibilities
1. Delivering fit for purpose work in a safe manner to meet or better the project baseline cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
2. Oversight and coordination of all work scope delivery.
3. Controlling scope and cost to the agreed project baseline.
4. Developing and executing effective execution strategies and plans in line with the overall project strategies and plans.
5. Providing accurate and timely reporting on project status, activities, and performance.
6. Identifying risks and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
7. Implementing and maintaining effective integrated project execution strategies and plans.
8. Implementing and maintaining effective communication to the project team and stakeholders.
9. Maintaining effective communications and executing the project execution strategies and plans within their project work scope.
10. Production of key project documentation e.g., Work Specification Forms.
Accountabilities
You will be accountable to the project manager for:
1. Delivering the project in a safe manner to the specified functional criteria, goals, and objectives, compliant with appropriate legislation, Project Execution Procedures, and within the approved project baseline, scope, cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
2. Applying an appropriate level of priority for safety and quality to ensure that Nuclear Safety is not compromised by delivery.
3. Implementing and maintaining a competent, effective, and efficient Integrated Project Team.
4. Minimizing project risks (threats) and maximizing opportunities.
5. Maximizing project efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Early identification of issues and concerns that either have the potential or will impact the project baseline and sanction.
Qualifications and Experience
You will have the following qualifications and experience:
1. Experience of working on projects in the nuclear industry.
2. Experience in project management, managing delivery to cost and schedule.
3. Knowledge of NEC3 contracts.
Additional Qualifications
It's great if you also have the following:
1. Knowledge of the Sellafield project lifecycle.
2. Ideally, experience in HVAC delivery, but other engineering disciplines are acceptable.
3. IPMA Level D (APM) professional qualification or equivalent.
4. Graduate degree in a relevant field.
The Setting for the Role
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licensed site. These can include nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided, and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
