Job Description:
Direct Medics Healthcare Recruitment are seeking a compassionate and skilled Band 8a Clinical Psychologist to join the CYPMHS service in the Warrington area. This is an exciting opportunity to provide a qualified clinical psychology service to individuals within the CYPMHS Warrington Service providing psychological assessment and therapy, offering advice and consultation on individuals' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professionals. This role will involve working with children up to 18 providing assessment and intervention face to face.
Contract is up to 3 months initially with part time hours required (3 days per week). Salary from £50,952 to £57,349 a year per annum pro rata.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide specialist psychological assessments of clients referred to the team based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the clients care.
2. Formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a clients psychological problems.
3. Evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors.
Requirements:
* Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, or its approved equivalent accredited by the BPS.
* Pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training and/or other fields of applied psychology.
* UK based experience of specialist psychological assessment, formulation and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and in patient settings - previous experience working with CYPMHS preferred.
* Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision in the UK.
* Experience of the application of clinical psychology in different cultural contexts.
* Relevant Registrations eg HCPC.
* Full UK Drivers License and Access to a Car.
