Job Overview
Critical Care are looking to recruit a part-time Health Care Assistant to work alongside registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver care to patients and families on the Intensive Care and High Dependency unit in Ysbyty Gwynedd.
Applicants should have an interest in delivering high quality, patient centred care and enjoy working as part of a close knit multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
Support registered nurses and multi disciplinary team in the provision of critical care to patients on the High Dependency and Intensive Care Unit.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
Assist registered nurse to deliver high standards of holistic patient care which ensures privacy and dignity are maintained at all times. This includes supporting hygiene needs, nutrition, mobility, basic nursing care and rehabilitation as indicated within the plan of care and as delegated by the registered nurse.
Ensure the clinical area is adequately prepared to receive patients, maintaining standards of cleanliness.
Act as a chaperone for patients undergoing examinations and procedures, providing psychological and physical support.
Perform patient observations as directed following a period of appropriate training and assessment.
Accurately document information relating to patient care as instructed by registered nurse.
Observe and report changes in patients condition to the registered nurse.
Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
