Role Overview
To provide an efficient and high-quality stock management service to all internal customers within the hospital with a ‘just in time’ approach. You will provide supplies to the hospital departments, optimise stock levels maintained and always be seeking new ways to reduce on-site stock holding requirements.
What you’ll do:
1. Work within a team of Supplies Assistants across the hospital
2. Support/Cover Theatre Inventory Assistant as and when required
3. Sign for all deliveries into the stores department and provide a timely, accurate and efficient delivery service within the hospital
4. Receipt, storage, issue, and distribution of all stock and non-stock items with appropriate use of manual and computerised systems
5. Match delivery notes against orders and resolve any stock or delivery discrepancies
6. Arrange for the return of goods which have been received faulty or damaged, or have been ordered in error, or are duplicate deliveries
7. Process orders for main stores, hospital and theatres as required by Stores Supervisor/Inventory Manager
What you’ll bring:
1. Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills
2. Ability to quickly build rapport
3. Great time management and flexibility, you’ll need to switch tasks and support where needed throughout your shift
4. Excellent attention to detail
5. Solid computing skills and an understanding of the various Microsoft Office packages including Excel
