About the role
We are currently looking for a Head of Digital to lead our Organic (SEO), Paid Search (PPC), Organic Social and Paid Social teams within the Digital Division, reporting into the Director of the division. The successful candidate will define and execute a vision for the Digital team that raises their profile both internally and externally. The Head of Digital will be responsible for ensuring the team develops, grows, and delights our clients, while securing renewals and bringing in new and exciting clients.
The ideal candidate will have both B2C and B2B experience, and be able to devise tailored strategies that deliver success, whether for a fast-moving challenger ecommerce brand that is focused on weekly sales performance, or a large corporate that survives on its lead generation engine and multi-touch sales cycle. They will also be able to communicate with senior stakeholders to simplify technical and complex problems into easy-to-understand solutions with strong commercial acumen and genuine enjoyment of working with numbers.
What you will be doing
* Day to day oversight of key integrated digital clients, maintaining client contact at top level and informing Director of Division of any concerns around client retention or delivery.
* Development of client strategies and sign off on KPIs and monitoring of performance to ensure we are always delivering.
* Firm handle on renewal and upselling strategies for each account.
* Responsible for creation and execution of new business strategy for the Digital team covering Organic (SEO), Paid Search (PPC), Organic Social and Paid Social, working closely with S&M to ensure a strong pipeline of opportunities is maintained.
* Work to agreed fee income targets and report on this monthly to the Divisional Director.
* Development of a detailed business plan for the growth of our integrated digital proposition, that is regularly updated and shows a clear vision for success.
* Line management of senior team members across the four team areas (SEO, PPC, Organic Social and Paid Social) as directed by Division Director.
* Ensuring your senior team are effectively managing direct reports and have a clear training and development plan for all members of the team.
* Oversight of integrated accounts across other agency teams, to ensure they are working harmoniously.
* Clear plan to develop specialist knowledge across relevant areas of Digital Marketing, including event attendance, reading, training and commentary.
* Remain up to date on best practices to keep our proposition and marketing collateral relevant and current.
* Ensure PHA has the right tools to help your teams work effectively and provide scalability for clients.
* Responsibility for cascading sector knowledge in the division and inspiring people to develop their own skillsets.
* Hosting seminars for all staff and drive the wider agency understanding of all things Digital.
* Membership of working groups on relevant issues, and contribution to key agency wide initiatives.
