To support our continuing growth, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Lecturer in Risk Management within the Department of Finance, Accounting and Risk, based in the Glasgow School for Business and Society.
As a Lecturer in Risk Management, you will focus on providing high-quality learning and teaching that is underpinned by scholarly activity. We are keen to receive applications from individuals who will enhance our delivery of and reputation in Risk Management. Applicants should hold relevant qualifications in the subject area or a relevant business-related degree, with a willingness to apply their knowledge to managing risk in an organizational context. Relevant industry experience would be looked upon favorably.
Lecturers are expected to contribute to the delivery and assessment of existing modules, supervision, and the enhancement of the student experience across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Applicants for this role are required to possess expertise in some of the following specialisms: Business Continuity Management and Planning, Project Risk Management, Public Sector Risk, Organisational Resilience, Health and Safety, Insurance, and Supply Chain Management. Prior experience of supporting student learning, teaching, and assessment in higher education/in industry is essential. The Department promotes innovation in learning and teaching, and we are keen to appoint an individual with up-to-date experience of e-learning and online environments. A higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with AdvanceHE is desirable.
