Job overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual for a fixed term qualified ACP post within Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) at Whittington Health, based at the main hospital site in Archway. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner (minimum post graduate level qualification) from an ED or acute care background to work in our Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work in an outpatient setting providing initial assessment of patients, organization of relevant investigations and planning the ongoing management and discharge of patients back to the community. The AEC works closely with inpatient teams, including radiology, ED, surgery, orthopaedics, medical specialties, and microbiology as well as community teams such as our Virtual Ward service which is co-located with AEC.

Essential criteria
* First degree or equivalent professional qualification
* Current registration with NMC/HCPC
* MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice
* Non-Medical prescribing qualification
Skills and abilities
Essential criteria
* Evidence of excellent clinical record and wide-ranging clinical experience
* Demonstrate the ability to work in a highly demanding environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Competent in use of IT packages and electronic patient care records
* Able to articulate personal development needs
* Ability and knowledge to undertake audit
* Experience of providing supervision and feedback
* Competent in databases and spreadsheets
Knowledge and experience
Essential criteria
* Extensive demonstrable experience working as an ACP or trainee ACP post in an acute setting
* Evidence of participation in audit and quality improvement
