A bit about us. Grind is a coffee company that was born in London, soon to live in Manchester! Since opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, we've expanded across the city with cafés, coffee shops, trucks, and a state-of-the-art coffee roastery. Now, we’re opening our first location outside of London, in the centre of Manchester. Coffee is at the forefront of what we do and who we are. Whether it’s through sourcing avocado peel straws and recycled material containers on site, creating the UK’s first home-compostable coffee pods, or using 100% plastic-free packaging, we want to be the world’s most sustainable coffee company. We set up our own charity, the Better Coffee Foundation®, to undo the damage caused by the global coffee industry by recovering ocean-bound plastic with every coffee pod, iced coffee can, and cup of coffee we sell. A bit about the role. We are looking for an enthusiastic Bar Supervisor who enjoys making classical drinks with contemporary twists. Evenings at Grind offer a variety of classics, coffee cocktails and guest cocktails. We’re all about creating a buzzing atmosphere by turning up the tunes, dimming the lights and serving the best espresso martini in Manchester. We are looking for energetic night owls to join the Grind Crew in our new Central Manchester location! As a Bar Supervisor of course we expect the usual stuff on a day to day basis; great service, standardisation and some quality shaking. To be eligible for this role, you will need to demonstrate confidence in supporting a small team in a very busy and high-volume hospitality environment. You must drive sales through supporting the team, and delivering speedy service with passion on the bar! We expect some previous experience working in a bar environment, and a 'work with the team' approach at all times. Role responsibilities. Support the management team in the running of a high volume & fast-paced bar Possess full understanding of GRIND Steps of Service Deliver exemplary service in line with our procedures Help to deliver bar training & developing programs to all bar staff Motivate all staff and project a positive attitude at all times. To undertake regular team meetings and participate in necessary Management meetings. To abide by the house rules at all times Displays a smart and professional appearance, representing the company in a positive manner You’ll have.
