Role supports UK/Nordics/ Benelux / France/DACH. Role is for a fixed term contract of 6 months and can be based in Marlow UK, Pencoed South Wales or Ireland - Galway. This role is responsible for leading HR aligning the QuidelOrtho Business/HR strategies and executing the HR service offerings and initiatives within the assigned client groups in the market. The position is part of the area management team. This role partner closely with the EMEA HR team, and COEs (Center of Excellence). This role will empower managers to be more effective leaders; Creating a culture of honest feedback and learning; enhancing candidate, employee and manager experiences; Developing a stronger leadership pipeline; Supporting a global, holistic wellbeing program that encompasses employees’ physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing; and, bolstering our diversity and inclusion efforts to current and prospective talent and stakeholders. - Business Partnership: Partners and collaborates with Business Leaders: Organizational Support: Contribute to the design and implementation of organizational structures that align with business strategies. To determine locally-appropriate HR approaches/solutions in support of the regional /global strategies To provide insights and guidance for organizational changes in the Area Member of the Area management team Engage and coach People Managers to improve work relationships, increase employee engagement and satisfaction, productivity and retention. Ensure effective on-boarding and off-boarding of employees. Partner with Total Rewards to execute local/regional performance mgt. and compensations processes. Partner with business leaders to support actionable development plans for Talent Partner with business leaders to create actionable plans from People Survey Coach, counsel, and guide managers in proactively managing social partnerships and employee relation matters Culture Promotion: Champion our culture by promoting The QuidelOrtho Way and Core Behaviors to guide decision-making and drive thoughtful change management in a fast-paced environment. HR Operations: Partner with Centers of Excellence (COEs)to ensure execution of P&C operations services including but not limited to Payroll and other payroll related matters Benefits management including leaves of absences HRIS (Work Day) implementation and administration in country Local government submissions and compliance reporting Represent the local perspective within the HR team Data Analysis: Collect and analyze employee data to identify trends and recommend solutions for improvement in engagement, performance, and retention. Project Participation: Participate in and support various People & Culture projects and initiatives. Ensure compliance with all pertinent P&C related laws and regulations. Leverage best practices and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Perform other work-related duties as assigned. What you need to be successful in this role: Required Skills: - Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced degree, MBA or certification a plus (SHRM) - Minimum of five (5) years progressive experience in Human Resources, at least one (3) year as HRBP. - Be an independent thinker, unafraid to challenge the status quo or be the only dissenting voice - Have the emotional intelligence to effectively partner and influence a people agenda - Demonstrable track record of consulting with leadership within an organization to contribute to building long-range HR strategies. - Cultural Sensitivity – flex leadership style to suit different cultures, and partners interdependently with other functions in the business. - Must be proficient at managing multiple priorities and accomplishing simultaneous demands in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. - Must excel at analyzing problems, issues and data to provide innovative human resource solutions. - Must be effective at promoting collaborative cross-functional working relationships, deliver effective communication, and able to communicate information in a clear, concise and tactful manner. - Developing financial and business acumen, project management and broad HR experience - Must be a thoughtful, agile, proactive decision-maker and able to lead with curiosity, candor, and care. - Must be proficient in local employment laws. - Track record of high integrity and credibility. - Must have strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis, interpretation skills and ability to generate insights to influence action and drive results.
