Role Purpose
Responsible for the research, provision, and analysis of data used to inform Category Sourcing Strategies and tactical procurement arrangements including spend data, market data, supplier and supply chain data, product data, service data, and trends.
Job Responsibilities
* Research, analyse, and provide comprehensive data on all areas of site spend and procurement activity.
* Develop automation of data production to enhance decision-making and Sourcing Strategy processes.
* Collate, manipulate, analyse, and report on data from various sources, including spend, supplier, market, economic, carbon reduction, and geographical data.
* Design, develop, and produce reports and dashboards, such as spend analysis, geographic risk, opportunities, and contract health.
* Assist with supplier engagement and gather market and economic data to identify trends and key messages.
* Maintain databases and spreadsheets, manipulate large data sets, and produce reports using charts, tables, and dashboards.
Person Specification
* Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Physics, or related fields.
* Ability to analyse, model, and interpret data.
* High mathematical ability.
* Proficiency with MS Excel, databases, and MS Office Suite.
* Problem-solving skills.
* Methodical and logical approach.
* Ability to plan work and meet deadlines.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Interpersonal and communication skills.
* SAP experience.
* Knowledge of Category Management and Project Management.
* Stakeholder Management skills.
Travel Requirements
* Occasional regional travel.
