HGV Technician
Day shifts
Salary circa £18 per hour - £42k plus overtime
Your future employer has been providing first-class solutions for many years. The standards set in the workshop are crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction.
Not yet qualified or time served? We still want to hear from you.
You will be carrying out inspections on a varied and diverse fleet, including main dealer heavy goods vehicles (HGV), refuse collection vehicles, road sweepers, hook loaders, light commercials (vans), trailers, and tippers.
The type of work you can expect to carry out includes (but is not limited to):
* Routine (and preventative) maintenance
* MOT preparation
* Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
* 6 (or 8) weekly inspections
* Correction of running defects
* Chassis and fabrication work
* Hydraulics and pneumatics
* Improvement of vehicle standards
* Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
We are looking for qualified and time-served Heavy Technicians who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle mechanical dynamics.
If you are looking for a company that develops its staff, ensures up-to-date product training, and supports you in obtaining various accreditations, then this company is worth your serious consideration.
You can expect to work in a positive and vibrant environment where your efforts will be rewarded. A skills shortage can be addressed through upskilling, but the right attitude and desire to provide first-class service cannot be trained.
Ideally, you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ, or equivalent. Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or EV qualification would be desirable, as would a HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence.
So what are you waiting for? Get in touch for further details and start your next career journey.
