About the role

What you will bring to the role:
* Accounting and reporting for the European selling subsidiaries (UK, France, Germany, Belgium, and Netherlands).
* Support and guide the European admin & accounting team, consisting of 5 individuals, across multiple countries
* Completion of management accounts and reporting to Spectris in accordance with strict deadlines.
* Manage journal entries, intercompany recharges and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing.
* Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations.
* Calculation of commissions.
* Liaise with operations and ensure customers are invoiced correctly.
* Liaise with payroll offices to ensure correct monthly employee compensation payments.
* Support Spectris Group Tax or local tax consultants for local tax and VAT filings.
* Supporting in variance analysis for senior finance management and business partners.
* Point of contact during local audit processes.
* Supporting the annual stock takes by operations.
* Interact with Global Finance team and align with standard global processes.
* Support European General Manager.
* Other ad-hoc duties.
About you:
* A degree in Finance or Accounting
* Pro-active, self-starter with the desire to work hands on as well as manage people
* Experience managing people with different skill sets across multiple countries
* Experience with Business Central desirable but not required
* Knowledge of business processes and transactions
* Strong Excel skills and business system understanding
* A degree in Finance or Accounting
* Business Central or SAP experience is advantageous
* A desire to improve processes, learn new skills and information, and grow in an expanding role
