An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time position for highly motivated, suitably qualified, experienced, confident, and forward-thinking individuals for a Band 7/Ward Manager post to support the inpatient Adult acute and PICU wards at the Harbour. Main Duties of the Job
You must be able to provide clinical leadership and motivation to develop the existing staff while maintaining high professional standards, demonstrating commitment to staff development and patient care. Ability to demonstrate sound knowledge of the wide-ranging specialties which the wards provide is essential. You will promote and maintain extremely high standards of care while supporting and assisting the Modern Matron to implement local and national strategies and initiatives.
You will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills, have strong leadership and staff development skills, as well as a proven track record in change management. A strong commitment to your ongoing professional education and development is essential.
The successful post holder will be expected to support across the Harbour footprint and be able to work shifts covering 24 hours, seven days a week; however, the main working hours will be Monday to Friday during office hours.

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health, and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

Qualifications
* Registered Mental Health Nurse
* Post-registration learning and development relevant to the role
* Ongoing registration with the NMC
Knowledge
* Understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures
* Knowledge and practice of Mental Health Act 1983
* Knowledge and practice of the Mental Capacity Act 2005
* Can provide evidence of recent professional/personal development
Experience
* Supervision and management of staff
* Experience of assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing care needs
* Experienced in acting as a mentor/assessor of student staff
