We are seeking a dynamic and organised Senior Procurement Project Officer with a passion for change and improvement in healthcare services. In this role, you will work alongside the procurement team and other departments to lead and support projects aimed at generating efficiencies and cost savings. You will be responsible for analysing non-pay expenditure, driving procurement projects, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Trust guidelines. Main duties of the job Support Contracts Managers in managing procurement projects, while leading smaller initiatives independently. Analyse expenditure to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend efficiency improvements. Lead procurement projects, ensuring clinical and operational needs are met while delivering tangible benefits. Provide procurement advice to stakeholders, supporting the development and implementation of cost reduction strategies. Negotiate with external stakeholders to ensure the best value and quality for the Trust and its subsidiaries. Develop and implement procurement procedures and policies to ensure compliance with Trust regulations and legislation. Manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously, collaborating with cross-functional teams from finance, clinical, and facilities departments. Use IT systems to analyse data, prepare reports, and make informed purchasing decisions.
