Are you a seasoned Womenswear Wovens Garment Designer ready to craft standout, multi-product collections? We're seeking a creative force to join our Main Collections team, designing timeless, trend-relevant pieces that capture the essence of FatFace. With significant experience in branded design—and some supply base exposure—you’ll bring a strong background in working with Far and Near East and Indian supply bases. A passion for fabric sourcing and sustainability is essential, as is your ability to create unique, original, and high-quality garments that our customers will treasure for years. This is a role for a garment designer, and requires a deep understanding of woven, multi-product design. Role Summary
A seasoned Womenswear Woven Garment Designer who will work in conjunction with other category designers and buyers to deliver the best FatFace product ranges exceeding our customers’ expectations across multi-product collections. Creating commercial yet innovative & unique ranges that deliver the FatFace style, attention to detail and product that is built to last.
Role Responsibilities
Creative Design:
• Develop unique, original, and high-quality woven garments across multiple product categories.
• Ensure designs are aligned with FatFace’s brand identity while pushing forward innovation and newness.
• Create trend-relevant collections starting from strong and unique concepts. Fabric & Sustainability Focus:
• Source fabrics that are aligned with the brand’s commitment to sustainability and quality.
• Build strong relationships with FE/NE and Indian supply bases, ensuring alignment with design goals and sustainability values. Collection Development:
• Design cohesive multi-product collections that resonate with customers and have long-term wearability.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including buying and merchandising, to align on strategy and goals. Trend & Market Awareness:
• Stay ahead of market trends to ensure designs remain relevant and exciting.
• Use trend research and customer insights to inform collection direction and innovation. Brand Alignment:
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of FatFace’s identity and ensure every piece reflects this.
• Drive newness and originality while maintaining the brand’s core values.
• Align self to companies social and environmental mission and champion any actions that you can directly impact at all times’
Skills and Experience
• Proven experience as a Womenswear Wovens Garment Designer or relevant category.
• Multi-product design expertise with a strong understanding of garment design (not textiles).
• Experience working with branded design and supply bases, including FE/NE and Indian suppliers.
• Passionate about fabric sourcing and sustainability, with a focus on delivering quality.
• Strong trend awareness and ability to translate market insights into commercial designs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
