Assistant Estate Staff Supervisor

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4:00pm
We have an opportunity for an Assistant Estate Staff Supervisor to join our Estate Service team based in Hull. The role is to support the Estates Staff Supervisor in the day to day running of the busy estates function of Sanctuary. The role involves dealing with staff and service users to ensure the services are kept clean and presentable and ensure the needs of the users are met. If you have a can-do attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment this could be the role for you.
The role of Assistant Estate Staff Supervisor will include:
- Planning the daily workload for the Estate Services team and providing quotations for works not covered by specifications
- Assist in keeping the GM Service Agreement to agreed contract specification
- Assist in tendering non service specification work
- Dealing with complaints, inspections and breakdowns in service delivery
- Managing resources effectively, ensuring tools and equipment are maintained by staff and stock requests are within agreed budget
- Playing a key role in the training, recruitment, development and retention of current staff
Skills and experiences:
- Recent experience of undertaking a similar role, preferably within a facilities management or horticulture environment
- NVQ3 or equivalent in Horticulture, Caretaking/Cleaning or similar discipline
- Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
- Ability to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
- Basic user Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
