We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Return Home Interview (RHI) Worker to join our team and support children and young people who are reported missing in line with the Missing from Home protocol and Statutory Duty. This role involves conducting return home interviews, contributing to care planning, and advocating for the welfare of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct child-centred interviews with young people who have been reported missing, ensuring their voices are heard.
2. Assess the reasons for running away and work with care planning teams to address underlying issues.
3. Offer independent advocacy to children and young people, empowering them to share their experiences and concerns.
4. Record and report information accurately, passing relevant intelligence to the allocated Social Worker and Police.
5. Educate and advise young people on the risks of running away and help develop preventative strategies.
6. Engage creatively and flexibly to ensure young people are effectively supported and assessed.
7. Build positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies to improve outcomes.
