We have an exciting opportunity at Derbyshire Recovery Partnership for someone who is passionate about beginning a career in the substance use sector.
As a Trainee Substance Misuse Practitioner, the role will involve developing the skill set, knowledge, and competencies to become a Substance Use Practitioner, through a mixture of training, coaching, and practice-based learning.
This role will be based at our Erewash House office in Ilkeston, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Our Trainee roles are fixed-term positions for 6 months, and at the end of the 6 months, there are opportunities to apply for a Substance Use Practitioner role.
The role is based in a busy community drug and alcohol service. It will involve developing the skills to offer a range of harm reduction interventions, assessments, risk management, and recovery-focused interventions to support our clients in achieving improved health outcomes and their personalized treatment goals.
