Full time 35 hours per week We're seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our organisation as Head of Finance within our Cambridge English Team. This important leadership role will be responsible for supporting three Businesses within our portfolio. It's an exciting time to join the Team as we go through a period of strategic change. The role will be varied covering strategy, investment cases, operational change, budget / forecasting, month end improvement and day-to-day business partnering. There is the opportunity to make a real difference to the way we work. The Head of Finance will work collaboratively with various departments and will be a pivotal role within our Team. About the role This role exists to support strategic change, strengthen governance and provide leadership support across the Team. The role will also deputise in the Interim FD's absence. Provide effective Financial Partnering and Financial Management Expertise to the Leadership Teams in English with a focus on delivering targets, profit improvement, including business case development and tracking performance. Improve the Business planning and forecasting process Drive continuous improvements to month end reporting cycle including (but not limited to) headcount tracking, Power BI reporting, month end insight on trading performance and financial narrative to Group and English Board. Build a financially aware business through effective education and coaching to empower the team and promote good governance and financial control Proactively drive for data, system and process change and transformation to ensure that their business area has access to reliable and timely financial information to underpin their decision making and to create personal capacity to deliver higher value service. About you You will bring extensive experience in finance, including significant time in a leadership role along with a proven track record of mentoring and coaching. A deep understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations, you are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the financial landscape. Your analytical and problem-solving skills are exceptional, and you have a keen eye for detail. You have successfully driven change and introduced new ways of working, demonstrating your ability to innovate and improve processes. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills enable you to work collaboratively with senior management, and you are not afraid to challenge the status quo when necessary. Having worked in large matrix organizations, you are adept at managing complex structures and dynamics. Your proficiency with SAP, BPC, and Power BI further enhances your ability to deliver insightful financial analysis and reporting.
