From our beginnings on a Leith industrial estate, we have grown to operate an extended bonded warehouse with a significant cask inventory. Our Rare Find range showcases exceptional single malts selected for their unique qualities. In addition to Rare Find, we produce a variety of award-winning spirit brands distributed globally.
Job Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and managing relationships across North and East Scotland. Focusing primarily on the whisky portfolio, you will:
* Manage Existing Relationships: Maintain and grow key account relationships with independent specialist retailers and key on-trade accounts.
* Sales Pipeline Management: Handle a sales pipeline of existing leads and prospect new accounts to deliver growth in the whisky portfolio.
* Drive Growth: Develop and implement joint business plans to achieve commercial targets within the whisky category.
* Support Sales Initiatives: Assist the sales team in identifying and pursuing opportunities within the wider Gleann Mòr brand portfolio.
* Event Participation: Organise and attend relevant whisky-focused events to boost sales and support key accounts.
Location
* Based in Edinburgh with travel required across North and East Scotland.
Salary and Benefits
* Base Salary: £32,000
* Generous bonus/commission structure

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will be commercially driven and motivated by a competitive bonus and commission structure. Key responsibilities include:
* Working with minimal supervision to manage core accounts and drive volume, value, and activations within the whisky portfolio.
* Collaborating with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Recording relevant information through CRM systems and internal processes.
* Identifying new brand and outlet opportunities to target additional sales channels.
* Making informed commercial decisions to allocate resources and invest in assets to drive growth.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Full UK Driving License.
* Valid Passport.
* Previous experience in sales or marketing is essential.
* Existing network of contacts in relevant channels and experience in delivering whisky projects is preferred.
* Strong understanding of balancing commercial delivery with brand-building objectives.
* Proficient IT skills with the ability to report data effectively.
* Experience in the alcohol sector and/or WSET qualification is advantageous.

* Adaptable, resilient, and highly organised.
* Willingness to work evenings and weekends (within contracted hours) as required.
