ABC Teachers are seeking an experienced Youth Worker to work in a primary and secondary school that caters to students with Autism, Learning difficulties, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
About the role
* The Youth Worker will be supporting young people with Special educational need’s on a one-to-one basis.
* Building a strong rapport with the student to encourage them to attend and thrive in school
* Following the guidance of the teacher but knowing the student well enough to deal with any conflicts
* Working 8:30 - 15:30 Monday to Friday
* Working term time only for the full academic year

* Caters to students with moderate needs, learning difficulties and Social, emotional, and mental health needs.
* Easily accessible with parking and public transport links.
* Supportive to staff, running weekly CPD training and team meetings.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Youth Worker you will:
* A relevant Level 3 Qualification such as Children and Young People's Workforce, Sporting qualifications and more is required.
* Able to obtain suitable references and a valid DBS check*
* Experience working with children with challenging behaviours and backgrounds
* A non-judgmental and caring approach
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* two years supporting students with special educational needs
