Workshop Manager – Structural and Architectural Steel Location: Kettering Salary: Competitive, based on experience Are you an experienced leader in steel fabrication with a passion for quality and efficiency? We are seeking a Workshop Manager to join our team, overseeing a workshop of up to 20 welders, fabricators, and apprentices, delivering exceptional work in structural and architectural steel. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and motivate a skilled team to meet production targets. Plan and coordinate workshop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and timely project delivery. Communicate effectively with design, project management, and other departments to maintain smooth operations. Review and interpret technical drawings to ensure accuracy and quality in fabrication. Uphold high standards of health, safety, and quality control in the workshop. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within structural and architectural steel or construction. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings. NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication/Welding or equivalent qualification. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Proven ability to manage workshop operations and ensure the team's productivity.
