About Our Team:
Our water process engineers examine the influent for sewage treatment plants and define the appropriate treatment process against the required effluent consents. They work on all aspects of the design lifecycle from optioneering and feasibility to detailed design, ensuring designs meet the required performance and identifying sustainable treatment methods. They develop process sizing calculations and mass balances to define all items of equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Here’s what you’ll do:
1. An ambition to work towards Chartered Engineer status with IChemE or CIWEM.
2. Excellent report writing, communication, and teamwork skills.
3. Willingness to travel to meet the needs of specific projects.
4. Analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and creative thinking.
5. Experience in design and build projects would be advantageous.
6. Comfortable in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
7. Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D design models such as Revit would be an advantage.
8. Some level of commercial awareness, along with a willingness to learn.
9. An ability to take direction and guidance, aligned with a positive attitude.
10. An interest in municipal water and wastewater treatment, along with the associated unit processes and relevant design standards.
11. A keen interest in functional safety (HAZOP studies).
Qualifications:
1. Degree educated (MEng or MSc) or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or similar.
2. Water-related modules would be an advantage.
3. Relevant work experience would be an advantage.
4. Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive.
5. Basic computer skills essential (Word/Excel) and good report writing skills beneficial.
6. Willing and able to work towards professional qualifications such as ICE & CIWEM.
7. Demonstrable interest in water projects.
8. Capability to satisfy client and business expectations.
9. Communicate effectively to internal and external clients, both verbally & in writing.
10. Ability to work independently without losing initiative & focus.
