WHAT IS THE ROLE?
Nickelodeon is a fast-moving department with a high turnover of short-form work, responsible for the creative output of our entertainment channels. The Production Coordinator will support and liaise with the Production Manager for daily production duties, including planning of promo deliveries and creative workload. They will ensure budget, schedule, and creative requirements are met, delivering on creative excellence.
WHAT SKILLS DO YOU NEED?
FINANCE
* Raising Purchase Orders relevant to music clearances, post production sessions, agency fees, shoot production, voiceovers.
* Liaise with the creative team to produce accurate budget costing per project.
* Monitor day-to-day spend by project using departmental purchasing systems and cost managers.
* Setting up all new suppliers.
* Ensure correct invoicing guidelines and deadlines are adhered to by suppliers and freelancers.
* Maintain and update records of production activity and spend.
* Liaise with relevant internal departments to save money and conserve resources.
* Work with accounts payable to ensure all external suppliers and freelancers are paid correctly and on time.
* Assist Production Manager and Director of Production with cost management and reporting.
DAILY PRODUCTION
* Assist the PM with organizing the creative weekly make list and production workflow.
* Ensure all projects are produced in a cost- and time-effective manner.
* Flag any project overage to Production Manager and Director of Production.
* Plan and book all external post sessions and daily audio bookings.
* Liaise daily with Voiceover artists’ agencies to book relevant talent.
* Maintain the departmental audio/edit schedules and calendars.
* Monitor and ensure all promos/design are delivered according to TX.
* Support PM with Clearcast submissions & TVC delivery.
SHOOT PRODUCTION
* Assist PM with shoot-based production as required.
* Create call-sheets for filming as needed.
* Engage freelancers and negotiate rates under PM guidance.
* Assist with completion of Risk Assessment forms.
* Assist with travel arrangements.
LEGAL & BUSINESS AFFAIRS
* Responsible for raising all contracts and ensuring completed contracts are returned to legal.
* Update contract log and freelance contract files.
* Work closely with Production Manager to ensure legal procedures are followed.
YOU MUST HAVE THESE SKILLS:
* Significant experience as a Production Coordinator, preferably in an on-air environment or commercials.
* Solid experience of shoot admin.
* Ability to produce a project schedule.
* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
* Highly organized and planned approach to work.
